District 2 represents the Hubbards - Mill Cove area and includes Fox Point, Simms Settlement, Dauphinee Mill Lake, Mill Cove, Birchy Head, and the Lodge.

Floyd has been Councillor of District 2 in Hubbards since 1997.  He is currently serving his third term on Municipal Council and he was recently appointed to the position of Deputy Warden.

Floyd has been employed with Louisiana Pacific at the East River Plant since 1970 where he began as a Press Operator and in 1997 took over the position of Fire Marshall. Floyd also represents the Union on the Employee Assistance Program.

In his community, Floyd is the President of the Men’s Bowling League and has coached ‘Scotty’s”, a local softball team, for more than 20 years.  He also coached in the Chester Minor Hockey System and was Manager of the Hubbards/Chester Merchants Hockey Team.  Floyd’s wife, Elaine, of 35 years is the local Avon lady and contributes greatly to the community through active volunteerism.

Floyd and Elaine have two children and three grandchildren.
