Take notice that Chester Municipal Council gave First Reading of amendments to the following By-Laws for the Municipality of the District of Chester on July 8, 2010.  Second and Final Reading will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010:

By-Law #74 - Tax Exemption for Charitable, Non-Profit Organizations, Municipal Water Utilities, and Licensed Day Cares By-Law amended to add property previously owned by Aspotogan Recreation Association to Schedule B (now owned by District 1 Fire Commission)
    
By-Law # 141 - Alarm By-Law amended to clarify the authority of the Alarm Coordinator for the determination of appropriate actions, as provided in the By-law, in regard to by law violations; and clarify actions to be taken for failure to pay a notice of contravention in lieu of prosecution.
