How a module appears visually is called a style suffix. You can see examples of the default, blue, and news style suffixs used in this site. To assign a style suffix, enter the suffix where indicated in a modules Advanced options.
Some module locations can display more than one module side-by-side on a page. The module locations that support this are shown on this page (see the specific modules details). Any module will take up the full width of the page unless multiple modules are assigned to the same page. Then, each module would take up an equal amount of horizontal space.
