Recreation Programming
Listen to CKBW or check www.ssrce.ca. When school cancellations reference Forest Heights Community School and their family of schools, it means all Municipality of Chester schools. When the cancellation references South Shore Regional Centre for Education schools, it means all schools in the South Shore.
If schools are cancelled, morning recreation programs are automatically cancelled. Evening and drop-in programs are not automatically cancelled if school is cancelled during the day. A decision will be made by 3:00 pm based on current weather conditions and forecasts. If a weekend program is cancelled, participants will be contacted directly. If we are unable to reach you, please check our website and Facebook page.
Waste Collection cancellation or postponement

Municipal Offices Closure
Check our website and social media channels. Subscribers will also receive a cancellation notification via email. On storm days, staff are always prepared to work from home and can connect through phone or email.
