ActivitiesThe Municipality of Chester has adopted four technical packages from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's (CMHC) Housing Design Catalogue. These four packages have been pre-reviewed by our Building Inspectors, Fire Inspector, and Development Officers to save applicants time when starting the construction process.
Download one of the packages using the links below or drop into Building Services to pick up a printed copy. Packages can also be found on the CMHC website linked above. We are in the process of developing plans using local architects, engineers, and material lists.
- Accessory Dwelling Unit 01
- Stacked Townhouse 01
- Stacked Townhouse 02
- Accessory Dwelling 02 (NOTE: additional engineering sign off may require a longer wait time)
Download a Building and Development Permit application. To minimize administrative processing time, it's recommended to call Building Services at 902-275-3080 to ensure applicants are aware of all requirements.
Attach the package to your completed application and submit it to Building Services at building@chester.ca or drop it off at 186 Central Street in Chester.
