Due to some conferences being held this month, there will be two meetings will be held only on May 15th as follows:

May 15th at 8:45 a.m. - Council
May 15th at 4:00 p.m. - Council Policy & Strategy Session

Council Policy & Strategy Sessions are normally held on the second-last Thursday of the Month, however the May meeting will be held on May 15th at 4:00 p.m.

The Council Policy & Strategy Session is a dedicated forum for all members of Council to engage in in-depth discussions, receive presentations from staff and subject-matter experts, and explore strategic issues in detail. These sessions serve as a platform for Council to deliberate complex matters before formal decisions are made in a Regular Council Meeting.

Council Policy & Strategy Sessions allow for interactive engagement between Council, staff, and invited presenters, ensuring informed decision-making on key policy and governance issues. No motions are passed, and no formal decisions are made during these sessions. Instead, Council provides direction to staff, which is documented in the official minutes and incorporated into future Request for Decision (RFD) reports for formal consideration.

The agenda will be published online at least two days in advance to inform the public of discussion topics.
