Public Hearing - Sale of Land Aspotogan Heritage Trust

Take Notice That on Thursday, February 8, 2024 Chester Municipal Council has proposed to sell PID 60081676, 10-20 Pte. Richard Green Lane, Hubbards at a price less than market value to the Aspotogan Heritage Trust (AHT) pursuant to Section 51(1) of the Municipal Government Act.  The estimated value of the land is $376,000.

The AHT and the Municipality have a long-term lease agreement in place for the land on which the AHT office building and Through the Years Early Learning Centre are located.  Council was satisfied that AHT appears to be a non-profit organization carrying on activities that are beneficial to the Municipality.

 Council shall hold a public hearing respecting the sale. 

A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 8:45 a.m. and is being held in Municipal Council Chambers (151 King Street, Chester).

Comments must be received before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

Council may vote to approve or reject the sale at the Council Meeting which will follow the conclusion of the Public Hearing.
