STREET CLOSURE: A new sanitary sewer lateral will be installed at 22 Pleasant Street on Monday, July 7. Pleasant Street will be closed immediately below Queen Street to King Street from approximately 5:00pm until 9:00am on Tuesday, July 8.
All vehicles on Pleasant Street between Queen Street and King Street MUST be moved no later than 5:00pm on Monday, July 7. Access for emergency vehicles will be permitted from both intersections (King Street/Pleasant Street and Queen Street/Pleasant Street), and barricades with traffic control personnel will be placed at both intersections to assist with emergency vehicles and pedestrian traffic.
Regularly scheduled solid waste collection will continue. Residents are reminded to have items to the curb prior to 7:00 a.m. Collection calendars are available at the Municipality of Chester Office located at 151 King Street, Chester or by clicking here.
What to Expect
Dust, noise, and heavy equipment are common elements of construction. We are committed to providing a work site that is safe and orderly and will work with adjacent property owners to minimize any inconvenience.
