Municipal Trails Closed

The Province of Nova Scotia announced restrictions on travel and activities in the woods. The hot, dry conditions have increased the risk of wildfires and therefore effective 4:00pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, people are asked to please stay out of the woods.

The same travel and activities restrictions are also in place for Municipal properties. Castle Rock Trail, Haughn Estate Natural Area Trail, and Gold River Trail are all closed until further notice. The Rum Runners Trail (rail trail) is closed as part of the provincial restrictions on crown land
